For those living a meat-free lifestyle, the Vegetarian Food Sensitivity Test* detects reactivity to various foods commonly found in vegetarian diets. This includes an expanded list of vegetables and legumes, such as eggplant, cashews and quinoa.
*Please note that this test is only for those age 18 and older.
You should consider taking this test if you:
- Feel fatigued constantly
- Have been struggling with indigestion
- Regularly experience abdominal cramping
- Have lingering headaches or migraines
What the test tells you

Our food sensitivity tests determine your reactivity to specific foods by measuring your IgGImmunoglobulin G (IgG) is the most common type of antibody in your blood. antibodies. Your results will be displayed across a series of visual charts, organized by food group and measured by reaction class on a scale from 0 (very low) to 4 (very high).
Food Sensitivities vs. Food Allergies:
While food allergies stimulate a response from your immune system, food sensitivities generally trigger a reaction from your gut. Though they’re more common than food allergies, food sensitivities aren’t generally as dangerous. With allergies, immune system treats that specific food as an invader, often resulting in reactions such as hives, swelling and even anaphylaxis. Food sensitivities, however, are associated with your gut’s inability to process specific foods, resulting in symptoms such as stomach cramping, bloating and fatigue.

In simple terms, food sensitivities can be translated as your digestive system’s inability to process certain foods. It’s estimated that up to 20 percent of the global population may experience food sensitivities, but the broad range of symptoms often leaves them undiagnosed.
Fatigue, weight gain, abdominal discomfort and headaches are just a few symptoms that may be attributed to unaddressed food sensitivities or intolerances. Because your gut microbiome is constantly changing, food sensitivities can also change over time.
Food sensitivities are often correlated with other health issues, including (but not limited to):
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
- Leaky Gut Syndrome
- Indigestion (including bloating, diarrhea and constipation)
- Acid Reflux
- Migraines
- Eczema
The proper screening, identification and elimination of reactive foods often provides relief for those with undiagnosed food sensitivities. However, if you’re experiencing any of the above symptoms, we recommend first consulting with a healthcare practitioner.

Notch health tests are the same tests as you would take in a doctor's office. Samples are sent to our CLIA-certified lab and analyzed by qualified laboratory technicians. The only difference is the method in which we collect your blood. We collect blood with a capillary blood sample (finger prick) instead of a venous blood sample (taken from the vein).
Is this replacement for visiting a doctor?
If and when possible, we encourage everyone to use their own doctor and health insurance for health tests. Home health testing is often more convenient and flexible than traditional health testing. However, we are not a replacement for visiting a doctor and do not diagnose, prescribe, treat or provide personal medical advice.
