At-Home Health Testing: How it Works
Considering purchasing an at-home health test but aren’t sure how it works? Let’s cut to the chase.
Notch’s unique selection of tests have been developed by a team of experienced scientists at our CLIA-certified partner lab. From food sensitivities to airborne allergens and vitamin D, each test is designed to provide you with the information you need to make informed decisions about your health.
Our process can be summarized in three, simple steps: order your test, collect your sample and get your results. However, if you want a more in-depth breakdown, we’ve got you covered:
Place Your Order
Before you can get your personalized health results, you’ll need to order a food sensitivity test. Our tests range from simple vitamin D panels to in-depth food sensitivity screenings, all of which can be completed in the comfort of your home.
Receive Your Test Kit
After placing your order, you should receive a series of emails letting you know when your test kit has been shipped. It should arrive within 5-10 business days, only after it has been approved by a board-certified physician.
Activate Your Test Kit Online
We know you’re itching to get started, but it's important to follow the activation instructions in your kit before collecting your sample. For this step, you’ll need both your email and the Test Kit ID on your collection card. You’ll also need to create a login to the Notch Portal so that you can access your results once they’re available.
Collect Your Sample
After activating your test online, it's time to collect your sample using the detailed instructions provided in your test kit. Your method of collection will depend on the type of test you ordered, so we created a more thorough overview of how to collect both saliva and dried blood spot samples.
Mail Us Your Sample
Once you’ve finished collecting your sample, you’ll simply use the pre-labeled envelope to mail it back to us. Using an extensive process, your sample will be analyzed by the team of scientists at our CLIA-certified partner lab and your results will be reviewed by a certified physician.
Get Your Results
When your results are ready, you’ll receive an email notification to access them via our secure portal. If you purchase additional tests with us, you’ll be able to use this same portal to access your results throughout the extent of your personal health journey!
